Mollie Darch — 6 Degrees Global Ltd.

Mollie grew up on the coast of North Carolina in the small town of New Bern. After graduating from North Carolina State University with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and a minor in Tourism, she earned her Masters degree and obtained her CPA license. She spent 6 years working in public accounting before making the switch to the travel industry.

Traveling Monday to Friday throughout her career in public accounting quickly made her realize that she loved to travel more than the average person. Growing up on the coast, she was always a big beach girl so it's no surprise her first international travels were to the Caribbean. Her and her husband have visited the majority of the Caribbean islands and were married in Barbados so has first hand experience with destination weddings.

Mollie has a passion for the road less traveled and loves to help bring her client's travel dreams to life! She believes that travel is the greatest teacher and is thankful to play a role in helping others experience new places, cultures and perspectives.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE DOMESTIC DESTINATION?

Charleston, SC gets my vote hands down! I've traveled extensively throughout the US and can honestly say there is no place like it. Having grown up on the coast of North Carolina, Charleston has everything this beach lovin', small town girl (with a big city appetite) could ever need! With it's friendly locals, beautiful architecture, stunning waterfront views, close proximity to the beach, and world class culinary scene, it's no wonder that it's been voted the best city in the US for four consecutive years by T&L. Charleston is a remarkably dynamic place that you can never quite get enough of! If you are looking for a long weekend getaway, I highly recommend that it be at the top of your list.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE DESTINATION TO PLAN?

Italy! Italy was the first European country I ever visited and it definitely lives up to all the hype. I love sending clients to Italy because I know it's impossible not to love! Whether it's a honeymoon, a family trip, or a group of friends, Italy has something for everyone. With it's fabulous culture, extensive history, endless food and wine, stunning topography and the most hospitable people around, Italy has it all!

WHAT DESTINATIONS ARE YOU PERSONALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO VISITING?

My list is endless but, at the moment, I am most looking forward to visiting Sri Lanka!

Mollie has now planned two incredible trips I've been fortunate enough to go on. The first was with my entire family to New Zealand for two weeks. We contacted her with only flight bookings very last minute (read: less than a month before departure) after finding ourselves overwhelmed in the planning process. We told her what our goals were, what we had already researched, and our overall budget. She EXCEEDED expectations. Everything was so easy from start to finish and it was beyond what we had in mind. Even on the time crunch she was able to make it all happen. She took into account activities for each family member and made suggestions to accommodate everyone within the six different cities she arranged for us to visit. The transfers in between locations and airports were so easy. My parents were blown away at her professionalism, thoughtfulness and efficiency.

After this experience, my (now) husband and I knew we had to enlist her help for our honeymoon. We wanted to do a big trip and in the midst of wedding planning couldn't imagine figuring it all out on our own. She planned an amazing 10 day trip for us to Dubai and the Maldives. Again, the process was flawless. We did not have to worry about a thing except packing and showing up! In the one very minor hiccup we had scheduling a seaplane transfer with the resort (out of her control), she went above and beyond to make things right for us. Champagne & a note from her was waiting upon our arrival.

Working with Mollie not only takes the stress out of planning, but also helps the travel process run much more smoothly. We will continue to use her for any future vacations and I recommend her unreservedly!
