Hillary's background in Business Management paired with her experience living as a local in destinations across the globe have fostered her unique and extensive understanding of the Travel Industry.

Hillary is a fresh face to our team, joining us in November 2019. Her love for travel was sparked at the age of 16 when she attended a Leadership Seminar in Switzerland. While pursuing a Business Management Degree at the University of Arizona, she spent 6 months living in Prague, Czech Republic attending the Anglo American International University and exploring Europe. After graduation, she moved home to Portland, OR for a short 11 months before taking off on her first backpacking trip around Asia, Europe, and Northern Africa. While on this 9 month adventure, she met her now-fiance, and soon moved to live with him in Melbourne, Australia. After 1 year in Melbourne, the two of them took off for their next adventure: a year long road trip around South America. Next, they had a short stint in Vancouver, BC followed by a beautiful summer home in Portland, before returning to Melbourne, Australia where they live...for now!

WHAT’S YOUR STRATEGY FOR OVERCOMING JETLAG?

For a couple of days before I leave for a trip, I try to ease my sleeping and awake hours either a a couple hours earlier or later depending which direction I am traveling. While on the plane, my goal is always to sleep as much as I can! A good neck pillow, podcast, and glass of wine are always helpful. Once I land, I try to stay awake at least until the sun goes down! A 7:45pm bed time on night #1 may seem counter-intuitive but you will thank yourself when you wake up fresh and ready to hit the ground running (or to dig into your new book by the pool)!
